Hindu Temple situated at the Shil Para in the Manikganj district of Bangladesh has been demolished and desecrated by perpetrators.
The perpetrators were equipped with country-made weapons and they attacked Durga Temple and looted the belongings of Hindu communities which was reported by the daily Ittefaq dated 29th October,2017.
Promoth Chandra Shil Surjya, the President of Temple Committee gave information to Bangladesh Minority Watch (BDMW) that a case has been registered against one Abdur Rahim Khan- Ex. Upazila Chairman and Finance Secretary of District Awami League. He also said that a group of perpetrators under the leadership of Alaulddin demolished the Temple and stole the goods and valuables.

6 perpetrators have been pulled up for interrogation while 60 to 70 perpetrators are absconding.
It is important to state here that the desecrated Hindu Temple is at least 30 years old and is frequented by the local Hindus but as per the BDMW, the local influential Awami League leaders attacked it with a view to grab the land without giving thought to Hindu sentiments. Awami League is led by Sheikh Hasina who is considered liberal.

There was another Hindu Temple which was attacked and had its deities demolished and desecrated. The case has been reported from village Peerjatrapur of Burichang Upazila of Comilla District of Bangladesh. The Hindu Temple was attacked at noon on 22.10.2017 (Source: Eibela Com).
It is alleged that on the occasion of Kali Puja at the Hindu Temple premises of Peerjatrapur, some Muslims started recording videos of the Hindu dancers when some Hindus protested against it.

Enraged at this act, the next day, some Muslim perpetrators started beating some 5 to 6 Hindu youths on the bridge adjacent to the Gobindapur Bazar. These people at around 11 a.m. also snatched away cash money, mobile sets from Hindu victims namely Apu Barman (30), Shipn Barman and Ramesh Barman.
The local people rushed to help the Hindu youth and brought those injured victims at local Burichang Health Complex for medical assistance.
However, the Muslim anger spilled over and 5 to 7 people under the leadership of Mohammad Robiul, armed with country-made weapons, attacked the Hindu Temple and demolished the Hindu deities (Kali Mandir).
After the occurrence, Abdullah Al-Mamun, Additional S.P. Monoj Kumar Dey- Officer in charge, Nazrul Islam – Officer in Charge (Investigation) of Burichang Police station visited the spot but no perpetrators were arrested by police.
A Hindu woman was also beaten up mercilessly in Bangladesh. Mohammad Delwar Hossain (24), who is a powerful Muslim leader of Bangladesh, tortured the women and also bound her legs with rope and started beating her mercilessly in front of people. The beating came after he was unsuccessful in raping her on 6th October 2017.
The local Muslims also threatened the Hindu woman and told her not to lodge an FIR at the at the police station, reported the Eibela.com dated 22.10.17.
