Let’s get it straight, Virat Kohli is one of the best athletes India has produced in the field of cricket; he is a match-winner as well as a newsmaker.

From being brash and abrasive Virat Kohli has come to symbolize the ‘cool’ for the present generation and who has a huge female following but still has lots of respect for the ladies. Remember the way he took on trolls who were after Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma? Or remember his sorry tweet for the women’s day?

He is getting a solid fan following and is making people take him as a gentleman who plays cricket and not just a great cricketer who may never become a gentleman!

Added to this is that he in many ways showcases the India of today; he is aggressive, aspirational, assertive, and knows how to command respect. Let’s give this an analogical spin; Virat Kohli represents an elephant, much like India, that is no longer afraid of its weight and showcasing its strength to get the respect that he thinks that he deserves.

But this is not the sole reason that India has started to love this man; we, after all, are the people who love the likes of classic Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, and Rahul Dravid. Even Sourav Ganguly with all the aggression that he brought on the field was every bit the guy who would get respect first. so how can someone like Virat Kohli come to dominate the cricketing scene so much that people now compare him with none other than Sachin Tendulkar-The sweetheart of the entire cricketing world, not just of the India.

If we see Virat Kohli’s popularity chart, then we find that while he was always admired for his batting skills but he wasn’t exactly ‘respected’ for his on-field demeanor, in fact, his mouthing expletives actually got many worried about unrestrained brashness that could ‘taint’ and ‘ail’ the Indian cricket but now he seems to have come of age and this is good news for India in the long run. Virat Kohli has finally got a grip over his aggression,

Virat Kohli has finally got a grip over his aggression, is respectful towards the lady in his life, and he also is working hard to be in the footsteps of the Indian greats who were aggressive in their game but still never abused on field. These things are making Virat Kohli the brand which inspires Indians and make them fall in love with the guy who is every bit like them, i.e. an unafraid and a proud Indian and this is a love affair that will last a lifetime.
