Pratyusha Banerjee, the feisty Anandi of Balika Vadhu, one of the biggest names in the television industry, committed suicide two years back but her friend Kamya Punjabi still misses her.
She reminded the world of her friend Pratyusha Banerjee when she wrote (translated in English for better understanding):
Two years and no trail as yet! Don’t laugh, I am not giving up, yes your parents are miserable but “I have complete faith in our judicial system.” Isn’t that’s how we talk? To hell with that, value your life because your life has no worth, people forget and move on and you, you (Pratyusha) better not rest in peace.
Kamya further told people to not write RIP (Rest In Peace) for Pratyusha Banerjee. She said:
Please don’t write RIP here, if you want to do something them go ahead but do not be blind in love, do not give up on yourself, fight back, stop domestic violence. Nothing and nobody are worth your life because when you die, there are many who die with you. Breathe, stay alive! Life is beautiful.
Kamya Punjabi had earlier spoken about the discrimination faced by Transgender person and wrote:
Shakti Waghela, a Transgender in Borivli is looking for a house in Andheri but could not get one as the society did not allow her to get one..seriously? People talk about progress, they talk about cleanliness…first let’s clean such filthy approach towards Transgender. #Shakti
