New York, March 15, 2016: World’s Best Cat Litter is celebrating the sixth anniversary of its GiveLitter charity with PURRRSUIT, a new interactive game that lets fans get in on the fun of donating free litter to cat shelters across the United States. The cat litter brand is setting out to donate up to 90,000 pounds of litter split among nine shelter partners in 2016—and the more fans play, the closer they’ll get to that goal.

“We wanted to bring some fun into the serious business of helping hardworking shelters,” says Jean Broders, World’s Best Cat Litter, Senior Brand Manager. “What’s more fun than playing with cats online?”

Available for free download as an app for iOS and Android devices, or for computer play at www.worldbestcatlitter.com.

The PURRRSUIT challenges cat-lovers to “pet” animated cats to make them purr. By keeping all the cats happy, players advance through increasingly challenging levels. World’s Best Cat Litter will use engagement with the game to determine how much litter is donated throughout the year.

Since it began in 2010, the GiveLitter charity has teamed up with World’s Best Cat Litter fans to donate 456,651 pounds of free litter to shelters serving homeless cats across the country. In the past, fans cast online votes to donate litter. Says Broders, “There are still over three million shelter cats in the U.S., and we’re always looking for new ways to boost awareness. That’s what PURRRSUIT is all about.”

And brand leaders say they anticipate a big push in donations from a game that makes giving fun.  “It’s pretty addictive,” admits Broders. “Knowing you’re making a real difference to cat shelters every time you play makes it a win-win.”

World’s Best Cat Litter is a family of clumping cat litters that offer concentrated power for a cleaner litter box and indeed this move would delight cat lovers.
