A minor explosion hit an Indian Embassy camp office in Nepal’s Biratnagar on 16th April 2018. Although no one was injured in the explosion which occurred near the outer wall of the Indian consulate camp office around 8.20 PM.
As per the Indian Embassy officials, this blast created a hole in the wall towards the secluded rear end of the camp office. Thankfully, no one was at the office when the explosion rocked the place.

Nepal police has started investigating the incident and security has also been beefed up near the camp office.

In response to media queries on an explosion at India Camp Office at Biratnagar, the Official Spokesperson said:
“A minor explosion took place along the rear boundary wall of the Camp Office of Embassy of India at Biratnagar, Nepal at about 2015 hrs on 16 April 2018. No one has been injured in the incident. Our Embassy in Kathmandu is in touch with Government of Nepal. The security authorities in Nepal are investigating the matter.”
