Sushma Swaraj has raised an objection to the cheap remarks of the Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
During a function marking the 100 days of the Imran Khan-led government, Qureshi said Kartarpur Sahib border was Imran Khan’s trickery.
He had said that the Pakistani PM had “bowled a googly” in which, he hinted, India was trapped.
Pakistani PM Imran Khan, Pakistan Army Chief General Bajwa, and Ministers from India — Harsimrat Badal, Hardeep Puri and Congress leader Navjot Sidhu ad gone to Pakistan to see the foundation laying ceremony for the six-kilometer corridor.
Now, Sushma Swaraj spoke out against this cheap shot and told the Pakistani FM that “Mr.Foreign Minister of Pakistan – Your ‘googly’ remarks in a dramatic manner has exposed none but YOU. This shows that you have no respect for Sikh sentiments. You only play ‘googlies’.Let me explain to you that we were not trapped by your ‘googlies’. Our two Sikh Ministers went to Kartarpur Sahib to offer prayers in the Holy Gurudwara.‘
India had earlier slammed Imran Khan for using the great moment for raising the Kashmir issue. But let’s be honest, it was to be expected!
Migrant Kashmiri Pandit group APMCC has raised the demand for a Kartarpur Corridor like arrangement for those who wish to go to the historical Hindu pilgrimage but delipidated site Sharda Peeth which falls in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.
