Vanitha League president Kamarunnisa Anwar has been sacked, despite accepting her apology yesterday, by the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML).
She was sacked after she had praised BJP and also gave some money to the development fund.
She had made these remarks when the BJP party workers came to her Tirur house and sought some donation. There, she congratulated them on their hard work and noted that BJP was growing fast in Kerala and all over India.
PTI reported that she had said that “I wish the BJP will be able to do good for the people and the state’s development. We have expectations in this regard.”
Her soothing words made the day of BJP workers but IUML asked an explanation and following her apology decided to allow her to continue, only to sack her today.
BJP riding on the strength of RSS is hoping to make itself at home in Kerala but the action against Anwar seems too harsh as BJP still has a long road ahead.
Anwar was in the news last year when she was not allowed to address the crowd as she is a woman. It is unclear whether she will join any political party soon.
