Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha organized the 45th Diwali motorcade that saw floats depicting Hindus Gods, Goddesses, and Bhajans by famous singers and dance groups like the Sookrane Boodhoo, Rekha Singh, Artie Sookhai Khellawan, Suraj Singh, Richie Hansraj, Naveen Rooplall and other guest artists along with Dharmic Nritya Sangh and Farishtey Dance Troupe.
The program began on October 26th from the Shri Krishna Mandir, Campbellville at 6:00 pm and made its way along Sandy Babb Street, Kitty into Vlissengen Road and along the Seawall/ Rupert Craig Highway and lastly to the LBI Community Centre Ground.
To maintain the sanctity of the event that saw the participation of children, a strict no alcohol and no gambling policy was applied both at the venue and the surrounding areas.
One of the primary sponsors, Digicel, happy with the program, had given a donation worth one million dollars to executive members of Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha for the motorcade.
