A Mufti named Rafi Usmani has issued a fatwa against a Pakistani model Qandeel Baloch who famously said that she would strip dance for Pakistani team if it wins against India.
This Fatwa states that “liking a post by Qandeel Baloch is haraam.”
The strip dance could not happen as India won the match instead and Qandeel Baloch was unhappy on being forced by the Indian line-up to keep on her clothes. Here is how she reacted after it became clear that Pakistan is going to get defeated. Here is what she tweeted:
But the crass way in which she abused Shahid Afridi revealed her ‘made-up’ frustration more than anger, something that makes her a good contestant for the Big Boss. Does anyone remember Veena Malik? Qandeel Baloch is two steps ahead of her. Here is one proof:
She wrote on her Twitter account:
Afridi’s game in numbers 14 balls – 8 runs 4.0 Overs – 25 runs – 0 Wkts. Thank you captain fantastic.
India say har gaye to kia hoa. hamary pas super duper, star laaala to hai bas ham yeah he soch k khush hotay rehtay hain. Poor awam!
God knows if she was angry at Pakistan’s loss to India or being denied a chance to strip and become even more famous.
Her frustration with Shahid Afridi would have perhaps resonated with other cricket fans if she would have stood by the cricket team and instead would have tried her hands at constructive criticism. But it seems that it’s not her style. Here is something that any cricket fan should feel ashamed of:
No wonders her timeline is filled with many mocking her in abusive language and her official page on Facebook replying to them in equally vulgar words.
Fawad Khan should have been her role model in India if she wanted cross-border popularity.
With a Fatwa against her, she has finally got something that she desperately needed ‘publicity’ but will this publicity do any good for Qandeel Baloch? It didn’t work out for Veena Malik and it didn’t work out for Poonam Pandey.
Rest, the time will tell.
