New Delhi, August 22, 2020: Wrestler Sakshi Malik is unhappy at not yet getting the Arjuna award.
She expressed her displeasure today in a message to Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, and Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju.
Sakshi Malik said that she has been granted Khel Ratna and she is proud of it.
Further, she said that it is the dream of every sportsperson to claim all awards and for this, a sportsperson does not hesitate to even put her life in danger. Sakshi said that it was her dream to claim the Arjuna award and put it in front of her name. She then asked what medal must she win now to be felicitated with the Arjuna award. Sakshi also asked whether she would ever get this honor in her wrestling career at any time.
There were earlier talks that the young wrestler would be awarded with the Arjuna award.
