Bangladesh is no place for minority girls. A Garo School girl (14) Malonchi Naogang was raped on last Saturday, 31st of December, 2016 at Haluaghat border, Bangladesh by local men. It has been reported by Jugantor dated 01.01.2017 as well.
The victim girl said that this happened when she was returning from “Kirton” a holy religious gathering at night.
She was caught and raped by Ramzan (19) and Giasuddin Geshu (18) of the same locality brutally.
The victim minor girl said that she was brought near the border of Haluaghat where both the perpetrators raped her one after another.
Her painful cries attracted people who rushed to her help.
Meanwhile, the perpetrators fled away.
A neighbor brought her in a bruised condition to a local Health Complex at Haluaghat and from there she was transferred to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
Advocate Rabindra Ghosh of Bangladesh Minority Watch communicated with Md. Kamrul Islam Meah, Officer in Charge of Haluaghat police station who assured of justice. The minority watchdog is demanding full medical assistance to victim as she is traumatized.
Police failed to arrest the rapists till the writing of this report. Minority Watchdog expressed serious concerns over the continued assaults over the minority women.
