John McAfee’s Company Brings Bitcoin Leaders on Board

John McAfee’s cyber-security firm MGT Capital Investments, Inc. (NYSE MKT: MGT) today announced the appointment of Bitcoin pioneer Erik Voorhees to its Cryptocurrency Advisory Board, barely a day after it inducted Roger Ver as the Chairman of this board.

Following the appointment of two leading Bitcoin entrepreneurs to the board, the market is pushing the stock higher. At the time of writing this report, the ticker was trending higher by 5.91 percent to $2.51.

MGT rises as bitcoin pioneers come on board

The stock had recently touched a 52-week high of $5.58 when fears of overvaluation ran supreme and coerced the traders to book profits.

Erik Voorhees is the founder and CEO of the bitcoin exchange, while Roger Ver has actively helped seed numerous businesses using bitcoin as a payment method. Roger Ver is famously known as the “Bitcoin Jesus”.

The Cryptocurrency Advisory Board was formed to ensure that the company provides the most state-of-the-art products to its customers.

Earlier, John had given his vote of confidence to the cryptocurrencies saying that they are here to stay but run the huge risk of the rising cyber threats. He said that these risks could create financial chaos as the cryptocurrencies are widely adopted.

The company will soon change its name to John McAfee Global Technologies, Inc.
