Pakistani Hindus may soon be under fire as Sufi Pir Ayub Jan Sarhandi is planning a mega rally on 12th September in Mithi’s Kashmir Chowk. Mithi is considered one of the most peaceful places in Pakistan for a Hindu but due to the activities of Sufi Muslim leader, the area is now under severe strain.

The reason for the rally is the activity of Hindus and their constant protest over conversions of minor girls. In the pamphlet that has been distributed, a social media comment by a Hindu named Kanwar Raja can also be seen which we have translated:

Translation by Currentriggers: The comment merely said that Eid should be an occasion to sacrifice anger and hatred whereas today an innocent animal gets sacrificed and the person will be pleased that God will be happy with this act. He also said that Eid is an occassion to be happy but even on reciprocating the greeting there would be quarrel.

anger and hatred whereas today an innocent animal gets sacrificed and the person will be pleased that God will be happy with this act. He also said that Eid is an occasion to be happy but even on reciprocating the greeting there would be a quarrel.

This comment is being considered as blasphemy against Islam and the rally may get out of control, fear the Pakistani Hindus Currentriggers.com contacted. Lal Malhi, the outspoke Pakistani Hindu and a political leader, who is hated widely by Sarhandi for his open opposition on mockery of Hinduism and forced conversion of Hindu girls and women, has also been targeted in the pamphlet. Malhi was earlier dubbed a RAW agent for opposing conversions by the Sufi Pir which the former had claimed were forced. We would like to refer you to this article for more details. Pakistani Hindus are wondering what course of action this rally may take as the past agitation against Quran desecration by a Sufi Pir led to the murder of Hindu boy and abduction of Hindu girl whose whereabouts are still unknown.

Blasphemy is a serious offence and many Pakistani Hindus and Christians have found themselves entangled in its cobweb:
