Hindu group Sanatan Sanstha files 10 crore defamation case against politician and newspaper (Notice Inside)

Hindu group Sanatan Sanstha has had enough it seems.

The group which has been at the receiving end as far as the accusations go has now sent a legal notice to NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik and 3 others for tarnishing its reputation.

The root of the issue is the statement of Nawab Malik on August 11 with “Sanatan Sanstha Dahshatwadi Karwayanmadhe- Nawab” (Sanatan Sanstha is involved in terror activities).

Nawab has vowed to fight it all out in court and thanked Sanatan Sanstha for giving him a chance to prove his statements in the court of law. Meanwhile, Sanatan Sanstha has also dared him to present the proofs in court.

The notice reads:

“Your act of making false and as per se defamatory statements against my client (Sanstha) and publishing, printing and circulating those in public in the form of said news have lowered the image of Sanstha in the society have lowered image of my client in the estimate of public and consequentially its reputation is lowered in the society. As a result of which my client is defamed and put to irreparable loss… You have thus not only committed serious offences punishable under the IPC against Sanstha but have also committed the civil wrong against Sanstha.”

The group is seeking damages to the tune of 10 crores from Nawab Malik and the newspaper. Here is the notice sent to the others:
