New York, 21st February 2016: Donald Trump is now asking people to ditch Apple till the time the conglomerate does not yield to the demand of the USA government to help the FBI break into the iPhone of one of the San Bernardino shooters.
The technology giant is trying to wriggle out of the situation and in an open letter, even called the United States government’s demand a threat to the security of its customers.
Leaving no one in doubt, Apple’s letter signed by its CEO Tim Cook said that “We oppose this order, which has implications far beyond the legal case at hand.”
In fact, the letter said that: “this moment calls for public discussion, and we want our customers and people around the country to understand what is at stake.”
But all the explanations and its side of the story seems to have not impressed the Republican front-runner Donald Trump who called his supporters to: “Boycott all Apple products until such time as Apple gives cellphone info to authorities regarding radical Islamic terrorist couple from Cal”
In this fight between Donald Trump and Apple, the former also said that: “Hopefully others will follow suit. Our country needs & should demand security. It is time to get tough & be smart!”
Not just that, Trump also told his followers on Twitter that: “I use both iPhone & Samsung. If Apple doesn’t give info to authorities on the terrorists I’ll only be using Samsung until they give info.”
However, not many are impressed with the call as the Americans stay wary for their privacy although Donald Trump has emerged as the frontrunner and is a highly popular candidate in the race.
Nevertheless, his followers who stood by him in his attacks on the Pope will also find his tough stand on terrorism and also against Apple’s position appealing.
Meanwhile, Jeb Bush, the Republican candidate and Donald Trump’s rival, has ended his Presidential campaign on Saturday after the South Carolina Republican primary.
