146 Pakistani Hindus in India for Kanwar Yatra

New Delhi, July 29, 2016: A batch of Pakistani Hindus which arrived in India on July 11, 2016, to Raipur has now reached the Dharmnagri.

These Pakistani Hindus have come as Kanwariyas and are being led by saint Yudhidhthir Lal and Tarachand Keswani.

The Pakistani Hindu Kanwariyas also took a ‘padyatra’ on Monday and chanted spiritual slogans of Badri Vishal and also have young boys and women in the group who are excited to take on the spiritual journey that takes them to different areas of India in quest of solace, peace, and tranquility.

Kanwar Yatra is one of the most important spiritual journeys that a Hindu undertakes in the month of Sawan/Shravan (an auspicious month and devoted to the worship of Lord Shiva) and it is said that only the most faithful can fulfill the journey.

During the journey, Holy Ganga water is collected and then offered to Lord Shiva by the Kanwariyas.

They have instantly become a big hit with the other Kanwariyas worried about their situation in their nation.

To keep the pilgrims from the neighboring country happy, locals made good arrangements at the Shadani Darbar ashram while the Pakistani Hindus were busy with the Kanwar Yatra.
