Indian Army is again on the forefront, this time for the sake of kids unable to attend their schools as separatists refuse to let the normalcy and peace return to the valley. To help the children, the Indian Army has started an initiative known as the School Chalo Abhiyaan in Kashmir which is getting the support of parents, children, and teachers.
Indian Army has also started imparting career counseling so that the children of the valley don’t suffer even further due to the whimsical dictats of the separatists.
On its Facebook page the Indian Army informed about its initiative:
Education of school and college going children suffered due to frequent shut downs in Kashmir. An initiative by #IndianArmy to impart Career Counseling to class 9th and 10th standards of Govt High School (Gogajipathri) was organized. They were informed of the various career avenues available & Information brochure, on the career options, including one in the Armed forces, was distributed. This outreach by the Indian Army instilled confidence, sense of responsibility and inspiration in the young minds
Mehbooba Mufti and other politicians have repeatedly urged the separatists to not destroy the future of the youngsters, but in their zest to disturb peace in the valley, they have refused to hear the sane voices.
