Pakistani minorities especially Christians stand humiliated after an advertisement of recruitment in the Mujahid Force of the Pakistan Army was published in the Pakistani daily named “Daily Express” on June 23, 2019.

In the advertisement there are 6 categories and the last one is of sanitary workers reserved only for Christians.

Pakistan Minorities Teachers’ Association (PMTA) is raising the issue and is hoping that such job discrimination will end once for all.

PMTA has shot off a letter to Arif Alvi, President of Pakistan (Ref.No.PMTA/23-25/19-KPR) to look into the discrimination against the Christian community that has been instrumental in the creation of Pakistan as told by Prof. Anjum James Paul to CurrenTriggers in an interview earlier.

This is not the first time that such discriminatory job advertisements have surfaced in Pakistan, earlier Hindu Balmiki community and Shias were also the target of such postings.

The Muslims in Pakistan do not like to do sweeper/ sanitary jobs as it hurts their pride, as this case shows.
