Swara Bhasker may not be a big star nor has hit films in her kitty, but that did not stop her from slamming a much senior actor Paresh Rawal for his stand against Arundhati Roy:
deleted tweet
but i totally agree with u @SirPareshRawal
if #ArundhatiRoy is not available @sagarikaghose is always available#IPL pic.twitter.com/kBnrZjiVTD— Ayush (@ayush_dzire) May 21, 2017
Swara Bhasker quick to jump in the controversy made the following comment against the star:
It’s one thing to disagree with someone, even hate them… but Wow!!!!!!! #PareshRawal takes shamelessness and irresponsibility to other level.. As a Parliamentarian he openly threatened a woman and called for a brutal act of violence against her on Twitter. Disgusting! Go join the #GauRakshaks Paresh sir, your ilk are out in murderous mobs- go satiate your masculine rage parading as faux- nationalism!!! What a fall from grace for a fine fine actor!!!!
Anaarkali of Aarah was the last movie of Swara Bhasker.
Rawal’s tweets were in response to the writer Arundhati Roy’s recent visit to Srinagar, where she allegedly called “Indian aggression” in Kashmir “shameful” and, according to Geo TV, even said that “New Delhi’s oppression cannot subdue Kashmiri struggle”.
Geo TV article says that she said that “India cannot achieve its objective in the occupied valley even if its army deployment raises from 7 lakh to 70 lakh, further adding that Kashmiris have remained committed with their anti-India sentiments from many years.”
Needless to say, Swara and others who were outraged over the tweet are still a small number as outraged Indians continue to mourn the martyrdom of Indian soldiers who had to pay the ultimate price of political correctness.
