New York, April 14, 2016: Have you seen the mind-blowing trailer of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda, Richa Chadda and Darshan Kumaar starrer Sarbjit directed by Omung Kumar of the Mary Kom fame? Check out the awesome trailer and let your heart melt away:
Aishwarya Rai our beauty icon has made us proud of her achievements but her acting skills have always been overshadowed by her own beauty. But with the Sarbjit trailer out, it seems that she has finally overcome her own self and is raring to explore the unexplored territory.
Randeep Hooda is another revelation as the Sarbjit and he looks and even breathes the character that he plays. His passionate life full of love and happiness in his town, and then his life at the Pakistani jail, away from the sister he so loved, is enough to give you goosebumps.
There is nothing less we expect from the Mary Kom director Omung Kumar and he does not disappoint in this heart-wrenching Sarabjit trailer. Aishwarya’s outburst at the Pakistani law-enforcement officers when they surround her in the trailer is jaw-dropping. Who said only men in Bollywood can do patriotic movies?
Sarbjit was an Indian national who had by mistake crossed the border and was arrested by Pakistani authorities on the charge of spying. He was later bludgeoned to death in a Pakistani jail while his sister, Dalbir Kaur Singh, played by Aishwarya Rai, kept fighting for his release saying that he was no spy. The sister’s fight to save her brother became an iconic movement in India and Dalbir Kaur Singh emerged as an immensely respectable figure. It would be exciting to see Aishwarya play Sarbjit’s sister in the movie and see if she can indeed step into iron lady Dalbir Kaur Singh’s shoes; considering the trailer it seems she was at ease and into the flesh and skin of her character.
Waiting for the film!
