Hindu Forum Sweden to host seminar on minority issues in South-Asia

New York, April 17, 2016: Sweden based minority rights group Hindu Forum Sweden is organizing a seminar that will address the ‘global minority problems in South-Asia.’

Hindu Forum Sweden has invited Dr. Lakhu Luhana as the guest speaker to render his “valuable speech on the most valuable issues of the dilemma of minorities.”

Dr. Lakhu Luhana, is the Chairman of the World Sindhi Congress (WSC) which is a UK and USA based human rights education and advocacy group.

Hindu Forum Sweden is attempting to address the problems and human rights violation of the minorities and the solutions needed to make their lives better.

Dr. Lakhu Luhana is a prominent figure in the area of human rights campaigns and is associated with the rights movement of the Sindhi people for more than four decades and he has been an ardent campaigner for Human Rights in Sindh and Pakistan.

He is a regular speaker at many international events including the UN sponsored forums in Geneva, where he has highlighted the human rights issues of the Sindhi people including extra-judicial killings and enforced disappearances, atrocities against Hindus, Christians and other minorities in Pakistan. He also raised up his voice on increased religious radicalization in Pakistan, environmental justice for indigenous Sindhis and Sindhis National Self-determination movement. By profession he is an environmental expert.

The discussion panel will focus on the current situation in Sindh, Balochistan, Bangladesh and will also address the plight of Afghanistan’s minorities.

The date of the seminar is 30th April 2016 and it would take place between 6 pm-8pm local time at Sensus, Medborgarplatsen, Stockholm.
