Malaysian Hindus organized a protest right outside the Pakistan Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The group led by CR Selva, Gopalan Kanan, and Uttwo Kumar, was angry at the many forced conversion cases of Hindu girls which have come to light from Pakistan. Curious onlookers joined in and the crowd soon swelled.

Global Human Rights Defence on 12th December exposed the extent of the problem when it aired short documentaries at Pathé Buitenhof, Buitenhof 20, The Hague.

This triggered the protest in Malaysia where the Hindus felt the need to speak out for the Hindus in Pakistan.

Currentriggers.com was able to reach out CR Selva, one of the prominent activists of World Hindu Federation, who took out this protest. He reasoned that he had to take to the streets as he is a Hindu himself and also because his ‘silence’ with what’s happening to fellow brothers and sisters in Pakistan would amount to endorsing it.

He called for forced conversion to be nipped in the bud.

CR Selva was, however, much dissatisfied when the Pakistani Ambassador refused to accept the memorandum that the protestors wanted to deliver in person. He told currentriggers.com:

“They (Pakistani Embassy officials) refused to accept it. A professor at the gate waiting to see the consular volunteered to get the memorandum delivered and later confirmed that it was delivered. I called the office and spoke to one of the officers, he promised to come out but didn’t. The Police officer also called them but they refused. Now, we have couriered the memorandum to the High Commissioner.”

CR Selva also attacked Pakistani officials reminding them that they were not there seeking any services from them but to merely deliver the memorandum.

He, however, is refusing to let the matter die down and is taking this matter to the Ministry of Foreign Affair in Malaysia for clarification ‘as to why The Pakistan High Commission refused to meet and receive the memorandum.’
