Sikh groups angry with Shah Rukh Khan’s movie Zero

Zero may be a hero in the film but it scored a big Zero with the Sikh groups.

The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) General Secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa has filed a criminal complaint against Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and others on November 5 for hurting Sikh sentiments.

His grouse is that in the promotional material (poster) and the scene of Zero Shah Rukh Khan is wearing Kirpan like an ordinary dagger. He says that being a Sikh holy symbol, the Kirpan can only be worn by an Amritdhari Sikh.

The movie is produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan and stars Bollywood beauties Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. It is releasing on December 21st, 2018 and is directed by Aanand L Rai.
