Nana Patekar never misbehaved with actress Tanushree Dutta on the sets of Horn Ok Pleassss claims choreographer Ganesh Acharya.
Earlier Tanushree Dutta had said that a movement like #MeToo can never happen in India till her harassment at the sets of the movie is acknowledged. On Nana Patekar’s behavior Tanushree Dutta said:
“He was trying all kind of intimidation tactics to rattle me. He was grabbing me by the arms, pushing me around then he would ask the choreographers to move and teach me how to dance, and the next thing I know he wanted to do an intimate sequence with me. It was ridiculous.”
The actress said that the song was initially supposed to be a solo sequence, but Nana demanded to be a part of it.
“I was literally cornered and I was protesting that I don’t want to do that intimate dance step with him because I was uncomfortable with his proximity on set.”
She claims that since he refused to cow down, Nana called the members of a political party to intimidate her and in the milieu, her car was damaged. She says that instead of backing her choreographer Ganesh Acharya, who she says got the movie due to her recommendation, as well as the director and producer, chose to adopt a stance against her.
Tanushree Dutta had said that Ganesh Acharya ‘stabbed her’ in the back as despite getting the same movie because of her.
Meanwhile, today Ganesh Acharya refuted allegations of Tanushree Dutta and said:
“First of all, it’s a very old incident so I can’t really recall everything very clearly. But it was a duet song as far as I remember. Something did happen that day because the shooting was also stalled for over three hours. There was some sort of misunderstanding.”
He even said that the entire episode of a political party going berserk, as alleged by Tanushree Dutta, was not right and that nothing of ‘this sort happened. It’s a wrong statement that Nana ji called members of some political party on set. It never happened.”
Ganesh Acharya een said it was not Tanushree who got him the movie. He said:
“It’s nothing like that I got the song because of Tanushree Dutta. The director of the film Rakesh Sarang is my old friend. He recently made Ranangan I have also done choreography in that. Its producer Samee is also my friend I was also a part of his first film which he did with Rajkumar Santoshi. So I knew them very well. She didn’t recommend me.”
He also said that the song did not have any indecent steps and that when he was called for the song, it was supposed to include Nana and Tanushree both. He said:
“When I was called for rehearsal I was told that Nana ji was also there in the song. I don’t have the agreement with me because that time we used to do it verbally. But that particular song didn’t involve any kind of indecent step in the first place. It was pure dancing. That’s all.”
Talking of Nana, Ganesh said that “he is a very sweet person, he can never do that. He is very helpful and he has actually helped a lot of artists in the industry, he can never do anything like that.”
But Tanushree Dutta is sticking to her stance.
Talking about Nana Patekar, she said that he was very aggressive, and was pushing me around and misbehaving with me on the set. My complaint was not heard. He also demanded to do an intimate step with me even though it was my solo dance. It was total harassment.
She also trashed Ganesh Acharya, Tanushree Dutta said that ‘he(choreographer Ganesh Acharya) is a bloody liar and a two-faced person. He got the job because of me and he decided to back stab me, of course, he will support him(Nana Patekar) as he was equally complicit in the harassment.’

In an interview with Zoom TV, Tanushree Dutta also expressed her dismay over being replaced by Rakhi Sawant in Horn Ok Pleassss as felt that she should have been replaced by someone worthy and ‘classy’.
She said:
“After this incident, they brought in who? Rakhi Sawant on the sets. Biggest Insult! My replacement Rakhi Sawant, Okay? I mean… I have nothing to say about her as a woman but as a human being, I definitely needed to be replaced by someone a little more classy.
She also accused Rakhi Sawant of making crude statements. She told the channel that she came onto the sets and started talking nasty.
Tanushree Dutta said that I remember her statement well. Rakhi had allegedly said that why is Tanushree Dutta making a fuss, is her body made of gold and diamond that none can touch it:
‘Uske Shareer me golds and diamonds lage hai kya jo usko chu nahi sakte?”
