In a moving gesture, Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani reached out to the now Afghanistan’s minuscule minority communities, i.e. the Hindus and the Sikhs.
He spent some time meeting Hindu and Sikh children and the minority delegates and learnt about their issues.
Many Afghan Hindus and Sikhs had to move out of the country after Taliban took over and they faced immense discrimination.
Many moved out to India and abroad while still many live in the nation still suffering under a resurgent Taliban. Even Afghan Muslims had to take refuge in India and Pakistan as the Taliban, backed by Pak, wreaked havoc in the country destroying the country and plummeting it into chaos and madness.
The country is still recovering from the scars and still has a long road ahead.
De yaar lepara dharamsaal jaroo kawooma. This is the true spirit of Afghanistan. They are the most peaceful Afghans. Eid Mubarak! @ARG_AFG

Many hailed the move and termed it as the true spirit of Afghanistan while some termed the Hindus and Sikhs as the most peaceful Afghans.
A person emboldened by the move also demanded that the discrimination against the Hindus and Sikhs be ended as a non-Muslim is barred from assuming the office of President or even run for the candidacy. Afghanistan is a Muslim nation and hence, it bars the non-Muslims from the top post but it does share good relations with the secular countries in the world.
@ARG_AFG Left the constitutional discrimination against them. A non #Muslim is barred from presidential candidacy!

Ashraf Ghani shares a great relationship with the Hindu nationalist Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and is due to visit the nation soon.
