President of All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen Party and the Member of Parliament Asaduddin Owaisi today took to Twitter to say that Jallikattu protests have proved that Uniform Civil Code (UCC) cannot be ‘imposed.’ He also said that India cannot have one culture and will celebrate all.
Asaduddin Owaisi also pointed out that the people of Tamil Nadu by uniting and coming together have forced the Modi and the AIADMK govt to change the law to overcome the Supreme Court judgment.
He also retweeted Rana Ayyub’s tweet where she said that if the BJP is supporting Jallikattu then as Asaduddin said, it leaves no space for its proposal of uniform civil code.
In short, he believes that the UCC must not be imposed and sees the Jallikattu protests as the way forward for those who are opposing UCC.
Check what Asaduddin Owaisi has to say:

Some of the Twitter users also wondered if the Tamil people can fight against Jallikattu ban then why Muslims cannot act against the beef ban.
@asadowaisi If tamilian can do why muslim can't against beef banned ??

Jallikattu protests have largely been peaceful and have a very little participation of politicians. The movement has been led by non-political forces but can something similar also take place for the UCC? As far as Asaduddin Owaisi is concerned, it seems he thinks it is the way forward.
