To shoot for Sridevi starrer ‘Mom’ two Pakistani artists set to arrive soon!

Pakistani actors Adnan Siddiqui and Sajal Ali will soon be in India to start shooting for Sridevi starrer Mom as the government gave them visas this Saturday.

Hindustan Times says that the Pakistani actor Siddiqui is likely to play Sridevi’s husband, while Sajal Ali will play her daughter.

Sridevi will be seen in an author backed role in Mom

To complete their work for the Sridevi starrer, the two Pakistani artists would come to India in February. Besides Sridevi, Akshay Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are also part of the movie. Boney Kapoor is producing the movie.

The tension began after Indian soldier were martyred by Pakistan-backed terrorists leading to an uproar in the nation. Many even demanded that the Pakistani artists come clean over terrorism but none spoke out against the gruesome attack on the Indian soldiers.

While the public was angry, the Bollywood decided to stand by the Pakistani artists saying that art has no boundaries and chose to attack those who were demanding an explanation from these artists like Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan and others.

Due to tensions, many Pakistani actors were forced to leave India and Karan Johar even had a meltdown of sorts because he had cast Pakistani actor Fawad Khan (negligible role) in his film with superstar Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He had to promise later that he won’t cast any Pakistani actor in his movies.

Later, late Om Puri and others spoke out in the favor of the Pakistani artists leading to even more heartburns. But it seems all of this is now water in the Ganga and Pakistani artists would again start working soon much to the delight of Bollywood!
