Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia coming to India

Senator Marise Payne, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia, is coming to India on 07-09 January 2019.

Australian Foreign Affairs Minister will arrive in Delhi at about 7.55 pm and will meet Sushma Swaraj, Indian External Affairs Minister, on January 8 2019 at 12.30 PM. The meeting is going to take place at Jahanara, Hotel Taj Palace.

At 2.45 PM she will be meeting with Arun Jaitley, Minister of Finance at the North Block where the two will discuss trade and business relations.

She will be participating in the inaugural session of Raisina Dialogue at Hotel Taj Palace at 5.15 PM. She will be present in the Raisina Dialogue at 11.30 am on 9th January as well.

A 1.30 PM she will meet the Indian Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at the South Block where the two will discuss the defense ties between India and Australia.

and at 3.00 PM she will return for her participation in Raisina Dialogue at the Darbar Hall, Hotel Taj Palace.

At about 11 pm she will emplane.

Recently Foreign Secretary Vijay K. Gokhale and Defence Secretary Sanjay Mitra had held the second ‘2+2’ Foreign Secretaries and Defence Secretaries dialogue with their Australian counterparts, Secretary of Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Frances Adamson, and Secretary of Department of Defence  Greg Moriarty in Canberra. India and Australia enjoy great ties and the Indian Government is in discussions with Western Australia over direct flights.
