Hindu Temple desecration has again come to light from Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Minority Watch (BDMW) has revealed that a desecration took place at the Lokanath Temple at Brahmangao of Sunamgonj District.The minority watchdog informs that the Hindu Temple desecration took place between17th December to 18 Dec between 10.30 p.m. to 6.30 am.
As per the First Information Report (FIR) lodged by Manik Lal Das, the Shebait of the Temple, before South Sunamgonj Police Station there was a dispute among suspected perpetrators with regard to the land belonging to this Temple and many civil cases are pending before the court for adjudication.
Abu Talib and Abu Saheed are the perpetrators who are claimed to be working with one Sailen Das.
It is being alleged that on 17.12.2016 after the puja concluded at about 10.30pm the security guard of the Temple – Prodip Mahissa Das (17) went to sleep after depositing the keys of Temple to Banamali Das who is a shopkeeper in the adjacent Temple.
Then, in the morning of 18th December 2016 when Mridul Chakravorty, the Pujari of the Temple opened the door, he found some deities of Bakasur and Krishna Murthi and Bamon Avatar Murthi desecrated and pieces from the Murthis scattered.
The minority watchdog believes that due to a previous enmity, these three perpetrators could be behind the Hindu Temple desecration.
So far no perpetrators have been arrested by the police.

Hindu man too under suspicion in the Hindu Temple desecration:
Manik Lal Das was also questioned over the mention of the name of one Hindu among the culprits to which he replied that “due to previous enmity Sailen Das might be suspected in this case” but he could not exactly say who committed this crime between the period of time at night.
BDMW also met with police officials demanding quick probe in the Hindu Temple desecration.
