Pakistan today chose to abuse the historic Kartarpur corridor to rant about Kashmir.

In response to queries regarding a reference to “Kashmir” by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan today, the Official Spokesperson said:

“It is deeply regrettable that the Prime Minister of Pakistan chose to politicize the pious occasion meant to realize the long pending demand of the Sikh community to develop Kartarpur corridor by making unwarranted reference to Jammu and Kashmir which is an integral and inalienable part of India.

Pakistan is reminded that it must fulfill its international obligations and take effective and credible action to stop providing shelter and all kind of support to cross-border terrorism from territories under its control.”

Pakistani PM Imran Khan has said that the only issue between India and Pakistan is Kashmir and that all it needs is just two capable leaderships to resolve this issue.

Meanwhile, Migrant Kashmiri Pandit group APMCC has raised the demand for a Kartarpur Corridor like arrangement for those who wish to go to the historical Hindu pilgrimage but delipidated site Sharda Peeth which falls in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Mehbooba Mufti, ex-CM of Jammu and Kashmir today tweeted her support stating that Kartarpur is a great example of how religion can bring people together instead of dividing them. After Kartarpur, Delhi and Pakistan must facilitate Sharda Peeth pilgrimage for Kashmiris.
