The National Commission for Scheduled Castes is investigating the complaints as per the duties assigned to it by Article 338(5) of the Constitution.
Accordingly, the National Commission for Scheduled Castes sends its recommendations to the concerned authorities wherever deemed necessary. This information was given by Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Vijay Sampla in a written reply in Lok Sabha today.
The list of cases related to false caste certificate received in the National Commission for Scheduled Castes or NCSC during last three years i.e. 2015-16, 2016-17 & 2017-18 related to the states is given below :
